End user is a Midwestern-based, corporate travel management company, focused on using cutting-edge technology to provide the best service and support for corporate travel needs.
A Channel Partner reached out to Steadfast about an opportunity to work with a company who was unhappy with the responsiveness and customer service of their current infrastructure provider. On our first call with the customer, we were able to probe the end user with the right questions, resulting in a very engaged and productive conversation. At the time, the customer was leveraging bare metal technologies, which are more expensive and less resilient in the event of hardware failure than other options available. In addition, the original provider limited access to the customer’s hosted environment, which made it difficult for the customer’s own technicians to do support on their own environment.
Our dedicated team was able to deliver a proposal the same afternoon of the original call, and our second call with the customer was to walk through the solution. Steadfast engineers proposed the implementation of a dedicated server environment, leveraging VMWare® Hypervisor technology. We gave the customer more control over their environment while still providing a strong level of support and cloud expertise. Additionally, the use of virtualization technology made their new systems more available and easy to recover in the event of a hardware failure. Leveraging Veeam® as a backup solution also allowed us to reduce their recovery time objectives from days to hours. The contract was signed after our final walk through call with the customer and implementation began immediately.
After deployment the customer was able to gain greater control over environment and enjoyed the additional benefits of greater availability and resilience, as well as the peace of mind that their new environment would reduce recovery time in the event of downtime from days to hours.
