Steadfast Networks has reached an agreement with InterNAP to provide a Flow Control Platform (FCP) which would assist us in making sure we are routing our premium network traffic over the best routes possible. With our combination of providers, and the addition of local peering routes, along with the FCP, you will be guaranteed to have optimal speed and throughput at all times. The FCP device is allowing us to further improve our premium network, giving us the performance to compete directly with InterNAP transit, at a fraction of the price. It will also help us in further distinguishing our premium and value network products.
InterNAP will be sending out the FCP device this next week, and we are hoping to receive it at the end of the week. It will initially be operating in a passive mode, watching our current network traffic and determining the best routes, etc. Once we are confident it is doing a good job we will make the device active, which should not cause any network issues. As a note, this agreement includes an initial 30 day trial, as we are also looking at the Avaya Converged Network Analyzer (CNA, formerly RouteScience) to determine what the best product is. The decision between the two will be based solely on quality, performance, and reliability, cost will not play a factor.
